HINT: You still have to move!

This year, St. Luke’s FitOne is going virtual with our 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. So, what does that mean for you? Basically, you'll set your own course and go the distance while social distancing. We’ll supply race shirts, bibs and medals. You’ll track your course and your time in the digital realm, while everything else happens in the real world. Your feet. Your wheels. Your sweat. Your dedication. Your energy and enthusiasm!

Everything’s different this year, and our top priority is keeping everyone safe. Yes, we’ll miss the excitement of the expo and the fun of the after-party, but a virtual race has a lot of great benefits:

  • The flexibility to run where you want, how you want, when you want.
  • No parking problems or iffy weather.
  • No port-a-potty lines or nerves at the starting line.
  • No big crowds!
  • All of the same support from your community.

COVID-19. There’s so much you can’t control, but you can control how you take care of yourself, how you get outside and move. Getting out and moving on a beautiful day can ease your mind and body.

  • Go the (social) distance. Even at six feet apart, it’s amazing to come together and be part of something bigger.
  • Every step matters. Your steps carry far beyond the race course to kids in our communities through St. Luke’s Children’s programs. FitOne has helped build 17 school tracks over the past eight years, and this year a big chunk of your fees will fund walking/running tracks in Boise, Filer and Canyon County. Kids love these tracks at recess and bring the whole family to walk and run on evenings and weekends. Help provide a safe, outdoor space for kids and families to stay active during these uncertain times. From your steps to theirs.
  • It’s good for you. It’s a great way to jump-start or maintain your fitness, to improve your time, to increase your distance, to reach your next goal.
  • It’s family time. It’s fun for the whole family, getting all of you outdoors in a fun, healthy, shared activity.
  • It’s a tradition. And you know you want the medal, shirt and swag.
  • Go faster. It’s a great part of your competitive training regimen to be an even stronger runner.
  • Make it your own. You can even create your own finish line party!
