Exciting Activities at the Healthy Living Expo

St. Luke’s FitOne Healthy Living Expo is coming Thursday, Sept. 20 from 12-8 p.m. and Friday, Sept 21 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the Boise Centre. This is FREE and open to the public. Pick up your race packet and learn about new recreation and wellness activities, as well as sample awesome food that supports a healthy lifestyle. At the Expo, you’ll find:
  • 106 booths with local and nationally known companies offering information and selling products.
  • Kids activities presented by St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, FitOne beneficiary; interactive games for kids to learn about home safety with fire alarms, smoke detectors and medicine. Is it poison or is it candy?
  • An Albertsons mini-store – recreating the Broadway store inside the Boise Centre lobby; they’ll be offering fresh fruit, kid’s activities, nutritional conversations and flu shots for a small fee (accepting insurance) for the whole family.
  • A St. Luke’s Sports Medicine booth, representing their athletic training residency program. They will be doing squat and Y-balance testing to collect data for the residency. This is the only program of its kind west of the Mississippi. 
  • A demonstration from Norco Medical, creating “Magical Ice Cream” using liquid nitrogen.
  • Fitness and Hands Only CPR classes.
  • Healthy cooking demonstrations.
  • Tag Your Tee. Free screen printing on FitOne event shirts.


  • Race packet pick-up, on-going Main Stage activities with the newest trends in boutique fitness, healthy food sampling and shopping for great sports apparel and accessories.

Friday/FitOne Family Friday highlights

  • Meet The Cowboy Ninja, Lance Pekus, who will be demonstrating how to make a healthy and delicious meal on the FitOne Main Stage at 5 p.m. and will sign autographs and take photos at the Idaho Beef Council booth from 4-8 p.m.
  • Molly Tevis, Albertsons In-Store Dietitian will be creating “Family Meals in an Instant” using today’s favorite cooking method: An Instant Pot.
  • Photo opportunity with “Urbi,” Urban Air Meridian’s mascot from 4-8 p.m.
  • Boise’s largest jump rope party with the Summerwind Skippers on the Grove Plaza on Friday at 6 p.m. The first 500 kids will get a FREE jump rope and the opportunity to jump double-dutch style with the Summerwind Skippers.
