About The Race

Move your body and recharge your spirit at this fun, family-friendly community event. Whether you're feeling competitive or just in it for fun, the FitOne 5K has a participant wave just for you! Tap into the joyful energy of the crowd around you, and you’ll feel like together you're at the heart of a healthier, more active community. Please note, this course is not certified by USATF and only certified service animals are allowed.

Red, Green, Blue, Purple & Orange

Competitive and non-competitive options...choose the best fit!

5K Race Waves

Red Wave

Participants should be able to complete the 5K (3.1 mile) course in less than 35 minutes. Age group awards are given. Minimum age is 6 years old.

Green Wave

Participants must use proper running strollers/joggers. Those coming to compete with umbrella and other everyday strollers will be pulled from the start to ensure safety for little ones. Remember, all participants on the FitOne courses must be registered and wearing a race number, including children in strollers. FitOne awards the top 3 overall finishers in this division.

Blue and Purple Waves

Open to non-competitive runners and walkers. No wheels, baby joggers or strollers. The Blue Wave lines up west of Capitol Blvd. the near KeyBank parking garage. The Purple Wave lines up east of Capitol Blvd.

Orange Wave

Non-competitive strollers, baby joggers, wheelchairs, and assisted wheelchairs: this is your wave! The family wave is organized to accept all abilities and all genders. Remember, all participants on the FitOne courses must be registered and wearing a race number, including children in strollers.

Registration Fees

Kids age 12 and under are free with a paid adult registration! But please note: each child must be registered and wearing a race bib on race day.
  • June 6: Adults (age 18+): $20, Youth (ages 13-17): $20
  • June 7 - August 31: Adults (age 18+): $30, Youth (ages 13-17): $20
  • September 1 - 16: Adults (age 18+): $35, Youth (ages 13-17): $20
  • September 17 - 21: Adults (age 18+): $45, Youth (ages 13-17): $25

Enhance Your Race Experience

Download the RaceJoy mobile app and carry your phone on race day. The app uses GPS technology to track your progress and send alerts to social media and your friends and family. 2018 Awards Structure

5K Competitive Run

  • ​The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall female and male runners will each receive an award.
  • The 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners in each five-year age group will receive a ribbon customized by St. Luke's Children's Hospital patients.

2017 Winners

5K COmpetitive Stroller

  • The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall winners will receive an award.
  • No age group awards are given in this division.
