When you hear “the trick to sticking to a fitness plan,” your mind probably zooms straight to the following:

  • Get a gym membership
  • Keep a workout log
  • Hire a personal trainer
  • Work out every day

And hey, while those are sure-fire ways to nail down a fitness regime, there’s one trick that will even help those strategies come full circle. Use the buddy system. Whether you enjoy walking, biking, swimming, going to the gym, taking a Zumba class, or whatever you most enjoy—if you do it with a buddy (or a dog!), you’re much more likely to stick with it because you’ll keep each other accountable.
