Race Season

, by Weight Loss Challenge

Today’s Fitness Friday is all about what’s hot this time of year in Idaho—since often it’s not the weather quite yet. Nope, we’re not talking about April showers bringing May flowers. We’re talking about Race Season. That’s right—the time of year when all ages and fitness abilities don their athletic gear and hit the road (or trails!) to support some great causes.

You may not have your sights set on a half marathon, but there are plenty of local walk/run and family friendly races in the Treasure Valley this time of year that are sure to give you something to smile about. From the Lake Lowell Marathon/10K/5K to the Run for Autism Awareness and even to the March of Dimes March for Babies… there are SO MANY local events that are worth checking out! And don't forget FitOne, of course (registration kicks off June 3!).

Whether you’re looking to set a new PR or just get outside and breathe some of that fresh spring air, you’ll find a race to fit any of your needs! We love this site, Running in the USA, which lists so many local events. As they say on their site, “Work Hard. Play Harder.” We couldn’t agree more.
