No-Cook Breakfast

Everyone says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That’s because it’s true! Studies show eating breakfast helps kids perform better at school and helps them concentrate. Plus eating a nutritious breakfast regularly can help maintain a healthy weight. But the hectic school-day morning can sometimes lead to skipped breakfasts.

Even in the midst of the morning rush, there’s always time for a quick breakfast. Here are some ideas for super-quick breakfasts that don’t require any cooking:

Yogurt Parfait: layer fresh fruit, nuts or granola with some plain yogurt

Cottage Cheese or Ricotta Cheese: add dried fruit or applesauce or spread on a piece of whole-wheat toast.
Fruit Kebabs: cut up bite-sized pieces of fruit and thread them on a skewer to make a rainbow kebab. Dip them in plain yogurt for added protein.
Mashed Avocado Toast: mash a ripe avocado on whole-wheat toast for a rich and filling breakfast, lunch or snack.

Get the kids off to a good start by refueling their bodies with a balanced breakfast packed with good-for-you ingredients to get them through the school morning.
