Keeping Up with Lifestyle Changes

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the end of the $10,000 Weight Loss Challenge! Give yourself a pat on the back because you deserve some celebration. Although our challenge is coming to a close, it’s still up to you to keep up this healthy lifestyle. And if you didn’t lose as much weight as you hoped, that’s okay! Remember that this is a lifestyle change, and progress may be slower than you want! Here are some ideas to keep up your fitness motivation for the long run:

  • Make a playlist of music that’s going to keep you pumped up and full of energy throughout your work out! This allows you to just plug in your earphones and go without fussing with which song you want to choose. And change it up every few months so you don’t get tired of what you’re listening to!
  • Switch up your regular routine every once in a while! Try a new class that has peaked your interest, or grab a friend and explore a new hiking trail! The same old work out routine can get boring, and may cause you to lose motivation. Try to mix it up a bit to keep yourself entertained!
  • Schedule your workouts in advance. If you pencil in your work out as part of your day, you may be more likely to complete it. Add your workouts to your calendar or planner, that way you know you’ll have time to get it done, and you won’t be able to make excuses!
  • When you’re feeling down or are losing motivation, remember why you began in the first place. It’s okay if you fall off track, you are only human! Just try and remind yourself how important it is to keep up with these lifestyle changes! And remember you can always turn to your loved ones for support and guidance whenever you need them.
