Create a health challenge for your co-workers

A lot of time during your week is going to be spent at work, so it makes sense to bring your healthy habits with you, and it’s even better to share them with others! What better way to do that than with a friendly challenge for your co-workers! Here are some tips to get them involved, and some fun ideas of challenges you can start.

  1. Create your challenge: The first step is to create your challenge that everyone can get on board with. Make sure that it’s fun and doable! Come up with an idea that can keep everyone engaged into creating healthier habits.
  2. Get HR on board: Anyone can create a friendly challenge, but getting human resources involved can create an even bigger impact. Reach out to your human resources or benefits department and explain to them how creating healthy habits will improve staff engagement.
  3. Keep it simple: The key to keeping everyone involved is to make it simple and feasible. Challenges that are too complicated or hard may be intimidating, and people may not be willing to put in the time.
  4. Create a reward system: Sometimes the best reward is simply the satisfaction of knowing you completed the challenge. However some people need a tangible prize they can work towards. It can be anything from a simple printed certificate to a free gym membership!
  5. Have fun! Remember the point of creating the challenge is to help you and others stay motivated and get healthy. But don’t take things too seriously, enjoy yourself and a little friendly competition and have fun with it!
